Its not that the SSI doesnt make good power because tests have proven it to be a good performing manifold... its just that people have fitment, sealing problems with them and therefore people choose not to buy them. Its a 50/50 shot I guess. I have heard from people on here who had them and immediatly removed them and then there are people who love them to death. They do look good though, I will give it that. I would love to get one and paint it black with BBK in red... **** would look hot!

yeh im doing suspension for now. i have the gears an ****, motor probably last(winter of 07-08 project) but, a kid with a mint 5.0 is using that bbk ssi intake currently. He likes the look, but i guess he had problems putting it on so he wants to get rid of it. either way, he put about 15g's into the motor, hes running a 347 with vortech sc on like 12lb/boost. He's getting close to 500hp with it.

depends on what u do, since ur stock right now, keep the stock intake until u get some heads or intake and then depending on what heads and camu get u might be good with a cobra intake, and they are off an explorer, but the best intake out there is either the holley or edelbrock.
ORIGINAL: 5.0Notch

So witch is the best intake that i could buy

i hear about a lot of people having problems with them, but what specifically is wrong with them? fitment issues? quality? vacuum issues? a lot of people b*tch about them but i havent heard any specific complaints (in this and some other threads).
