i have gt40 heads. i really didnt notice a big difference. when i buy spark plugs i ask for a 96 explorer. as far as i know if they came with a 302 in the mid 90s then they gt40 package. mine are marine heads so they dont have smog holes they are pluged up

 

its a 302 5.0L

 

so if i call the junk yards i ask for a 96 explorer with a 302 the heads off of it.. do i say anything about gt40 or not?

 

i would just go up there and look at the heads. they say GT on the ends. when they are on my caron the driver side it says it behind the ac and on the passenger it says it were the fuel lines run. oh and they are cast iron

 

ok so if i get the gt40 heads and that e303 cam what else would ihave to buy to make my car run right.. i dont want to do anything to major.. i can instal cam and everything i have done it before.. i just dont want to spend a crap load of money making it fast right now.. i have a limited suppy of money.. i love the sound of cams so i want one really bad..

 

e cam doesnt really have much "sound" to it... its a fairly calm idle

 

whats the easiest thing i could do right now with all the mods i have already that would give me some easy power.. im debating on cam cuz i dont know if i want to pull the motor

Isn't ittrue if u run the gt40 heads off of an explorer u have 2 get different headers cuz the spark plug angle. thought i remebered reading this in a article in 5.0 Magazine
