Alright i have a 90 mustang gt 5.0.. i have a 5 speed short throw shifter with the tranny just rebuilt, 4.10 gears, cold air, headers that goes into dual 40 series flowmaster exhaust, electric fans, underdrive pullys.. i believe thats it.. what would be something that wont break the bank that would increase my power that i could maybe tell a difference.. its my friends old car but i bought it.. he ran a 14.4 i would like to lower that time a bit.. any ideas would be great.. also im kinda thinkin about a cam but i dont have a crap load of money so whats the biggest cam i could go without having to change alota ****..

Bump the timing, suspension will help your times, but wont rais your HP. You can also get an H or X pipe, that'll free up some power too. Maybe remove the smog pump if you dont haev emissions, or bypass the AC and smog, they free up a bit of HP, not much, but every little bit counts.

 

i would go with the gt40 heads with a e303 cam

 

i forgot.. yes i have H pipe and smog pump removed.. i dont want to get rid of the AC cuz i might drive it in the summer to work.. its a 2nd car but possibly daily driver if need be.. that e303cam.. where u find it at and how much? and the gt 40 heads how much and where?

 

gt40 heads(100ish), nitrous(4-500ish) or suspension(800ish)

 

cam is 100 somethin... summit, jegs, 50resto. heads, 100 for the heads, at a junkyard, off of an explorer(others can explain what year exactly) but i strongly suggest getting them remaned, if not ported and polished, which will cost you too. but think too, decent after market heads are still around the 1k mark
