^ + 1000000!!!! Don't cut them, just buy new/used ones for $150-$200, or a junkyard swap or 4 cyl. springs will lower a lil bit, why so lil? Most people go 7/8" -1 1/2" jmo do as you'd like.

If you cut the springs your car is going to ride like hell. As long as you dont mind that, than go for it.

Cutting springs is in no way ricey!

Spring cutting and heating the springs was all started back in the '50's with the rat rods and lead sleds, guys would heat the springs and let the weight of the car compress the springs down til the suspension was as low as they wanted it. Cutting was another way of doing this... it was the trick of the time and since has been replaced with newer spring technology. just so you know

Its not "ricey"..... maybe the cheap way of doing things but definetly not ricey.

i have heard because stock springs are linear rate, cutting a little off them wont really change the ride characteristics. Not that I'm for cutting springs, but if you're looking to drop the car a little you could probably get away with cutting a quarter to a half of a coil at a time til its where you want it.

Yeah, half a coil sounds close. It is not an exact science, cutting springs. You just gotta guesstamate. If you bottom out when driving on them. Get some springboosters (I would use them any way to stiffen the ride). They are cheap and at the local car place. With cut or heated springs, and boosters. If you dont mess up. You can actually get a decent ride from them.
