Default tranny wise?

I currently have a t-5 in my 89 lx coupe 5.0 but i was wondering when it fails me what should i replace it with......key things: i dont really race it too much, every day driver, would like to have performance if it called, and would want something within reality of some sort of budget.

T5Z... low cost, easy to rebuild... light... and great for power handling... reported to handle 450hp

change the fluid and get some synthetic, and get a short throw shifter...adjust the clutch, if that doesn't fix it then your syncos may be starting to go... in which case if you can do with out the car for 2 weeks and are able to pull the tranny i offer CHEAP rebuilds for the T-5 and the veriations of the T-5 ie, T-5Z T45...

feel free to pm me for more info i won't be back for about 5 hours tho..... damn night classes
