What is the difference in the design and how does one do better on one setup than the other. Dont they both apply more pressure to the axle.

you are putting traction bars to help the stock rear control arms in a mustang, leaf spring suspension no upper and lower contro arms so they have to use traction bars. but the mustang 4 link suspension just put stronger control arms. and traction bars only work good with better tires than stock (225). if you but traction bars with stock tires wont feel much of a diffrence.

Both, mainly worried about traction on the strip though.

I say go with control arms..........like i said if your not going to run slicks it wont let the traction bars do there job. they will help with the wheel hop but you still wont have traction.

this will help you more.

So control arms and traction bars are different? I have south side traction bars, they just replace the control arms, but hell i thought they were the same thing. Are traction bars like what would be put on a truck or what? im kinda a lil thrown off here?

Wow that really explained things. I dont have that initial bite so they probably wont do me a whole lot of good. Im running 245 45 Coopers on 17's. I also have a a set of BF Goodrich 275 40's on 17 andstill no bite. I will admit they do better on the streetandthere scrubbing the fenders, I dont know what the heck to do.
