Default realistic gains with new intake/tb

Hey guys, sorry if this question has been asked before, but what are some common realistic gains from a new intake manifold upper and lower, with the addition of a lets say 65 or 70 mm throtle body. Ive heard about 20-25 hp for a stock car, maybe with some small mods, and it gradually increases when you add other things like heads, cam, etc. Does that sound right?

thats a very general question. intake manifold + 65 mm TB makes less HP than intake manifold with 70mm TB. not by much but there is a difference between 600 cfm and 700cfm. then heads, heads alone account for about 50 to 100 HP depending on the heads, manifold and TB. Be specific, which heads, cam, TB and manifold EXACTLY are you talking about. any combination of the above can make 20 HP or 150 HP extra. it all depends.

there are far to many variables. with a stock motor 20-30hp from the manifold and 70mm tb is reasonable.

yup. id say 25 at max. but, it all depends on what manifold you get too. plus, where the power comes in out will make a diff in whether you can feel it or not.

^^^^^^ i agree but there have been alot of test in mustang magizines that mad 30-35 to the tires so i would go with 25hp for a good guesstiment

well i have a 302 with a few mods, nothin special. Lets say an edelbrock performer rpm or rpm II with a 70 mm tb, i wouldnt want to get a manifold that flows too much right? since i dont have much power.

really, you want to buy the best flowing manifold there is, and just dont go anything bigger than a 70mm throttle body and it will be perfect.. have great throttle response

but if you plan on upgrading more later, like heads or what not you might as well go with 70, to save your time later down the road.... plus i like the response that 70 gives, rather than the 65
