RE: Cooling system holding to much pressure?? *HELP*
that was me on dantheman..
but anyway, could i actually have a head gasket leak though?
because my buddy that helpped me said that it might be, but we are going to pressure check it, and then test the coolant if there is any exhaust gas in it. any other ideaS??

If it overflows, with a good pump and t stat - you have bubbles or a bad gasket. Too coincidental after a timing cover and stat though.....

however, if his system is not releasing pressure properly.. It would be due to a faulty radiator cap!

^ya i have actually had 2 different caps on it through this whole process. the old one that it ran fine with before i changed the gaskets, and then a pressure release cap.
soo should i just try redoing the gaskets??
