If you are going to swap in a 351 anyway, might as well get a 4cyl. Just make sure to change out the rear end. The stocker wont hang very long with 400RW

You need an 8.8 out of a mustang to bolt up. A 650 carb is more than sufficient as long as its tuned properly

Have fun with swapping a 351 in a 4 cylinder car, keep in mind the brakes arnt sufficient enough for a 4 cylinder, the suspension is way soft, and youll have a lot of other odds and ends to change.

I was thinking of leaving the breaks, I am gonna gut it all out, So it should be lighter? And will a c 6 from a truck work? Every one says go with the C4, but i can get a good c6 for free.. Or is the c6 in cars diffrent from the ones in the trucks? What about the shifting linkages? I wana keep a factory shifter in it, If i get a 4 banger mustang with a auto, Is it possible with the c6?

351 can handle 600hp, with 400rwhp you'll be well into the 12's, but pay attention to your suspension that makes a huge difference! C4 is the way togo for the tranny
