ok so i have been seeing a lot of post on people getting new trannys, anddimebag asked how to properly break it in so made a few videos for him, and i thought i would enlighten the rest of you on how to properly break them in...

Proper break in procedure for a NEW tranny

use non symtheticfluid
drive it easy, no more than 1/2 throttle and slower shifting than in the video, for about 500-1000 miles then change the fluid... still useing non synthetic fluid

then for about 1500-2000 miles get on it a little more, no sudden WOT and shift more firmly (like the video) then change the fluid... at this point you can use synthetic fluid if you want to (i highly recommend it) after all that is done she's good to go and all broke in...


How to break in a REBUILT tranny

use non synthetis oil...you can get on the car all u want just shift it easy (like the video) for about 1500 miles change the fluid after the first 500 miles (use non synthetic) than again at the 1500 mile mark (can now use synthetic if you wish)... after that giver hell

I just drove mine to the track nicely and then gave it hell running low 12's, synthetic fluid too
