hey guys, were taking my dads 93 to a dyno this weekend and hes freakin out about how muchhp itll make, guess he thinks its gonna make liek 100hp or sumthing stupid, its got a powerdyne 6psi setup on it and thats it, everything else is stock.

powerdyne... it wont make much HP for very long... You would be wise to take that supercharger off and sell it. Powerdyne's have a tendency to "grenade". Which simply means, it will blow up, and send lots of little metal bits intot he intake, and into the motor... thereby ruining your engine

I'd listen to the man...he speaks the truth That being said, the choice is up to you. If it were me though, well...we'll leave it at I wouldn't have gone Powerdyne. Another vote for 250-260, maybe 270, at the wheels. There's nothing else done? Not even a bigger MAF, injectors, nothing?

hahah no we didnt put the charger on the guy we bought it from did and we had to rebuild it becasue it ate a belt and idler gear but 260-270 sweet i was thinking 250 so i guess thats not too far off, quick question wats the largest lift on a cam u can put in a stock 5.0?

+1, I've also heard (haven't looked into it, but you might want to) that a Steeda #19 is a nice choice for blown applications. In addition to the cam being too big, the other considerations are piston to valve (PTV) clearance, and also your stock valvesprings don't play nice with big cams

yeah well ive got a set of gt40 x303 heads and a blue racer wolverine cam withintake valve lift=493 and exhaust lift=510 so i was wondeirng if i could just pop em in or if i needed to do like rods and pistons oh and wat mods should i throw on to get max potential out of the parts i already have
