Default Info on this setup

When I purchased my car, it already had an intercooled procharger on it, full lenths, 75mm mass air, larger fuel pump and injectors. It still has everything else stock, including stock intake, throttle body, and cam. I'm trying to round up a trick flow track heat intake, and use a trick flow stage 2 cam, with gt-40p heads, and 1.6 stud mount roller rockers. Trying to get good stuff but on a budget at the same time. I found a track heat for 300 bucks and the cam is a little over a hundred as well as rockers. I have the heads already, but trying to stay in the 600-800 range for everything else. Any suggestions? It would really help if i could get some info if anyone else has had this setup or recommend another setup around this price. Thanks alot

The reason i'm needin a little info is because i'm prolly only running in the mid to high 13's right now, and i'm thinking it because my heads and intake are so restricted. Any advise would be greatly appreciated before i go buying parts. Thanks again

you might want to look into getting regular gt-40's.. the p's require special headers cause of the spark plug angle. i'm not posative if they will work with youre full lengths but i dont think so. you will end up buring up youre plug wire boots. also, you are gonna want to get youre torque boxes reinforced and you are gonna want upper and lower control arms and some nice sticky tires and subframe connectors.. i bet with some nice sticky tires and gears and the control arms you will be in the 12's without even touching the internals of the engine. PRO5.0 on here has stock heads and cam and bottom end and is putting out 400hp+ at the wheels if i remember correctly with a procharger. Just my .02 cents.

Are the P's stock or ported? P heads don't flow as well over .500 lift as the 3 bar GT40's. That could cause some issues since that cam is .545/.565 or something along those lines. Also, those heads require pedistal mount rockers unless you are going to have them machined to accept stud mount.

The combo looks okay except for the heads (which you said you already have). It may be worth it in the long run to either sell the heads for GT40's OR have some work done to them to increase flow (especially exhaust side since the valve is 1.46 like the E7's).

...and you do need special shorty headers for P heads, but a lot of LT's will work since the primaries come out farther from the head before they turn down towards the collector.

Hope that helps!

The gt-40p's actually flow more on the exhaust side then the gt-40s do if they are untouched, even with the smaller valve because of the redesigned exhaustsetupon the p's. just an fyi man.

Up to .500, like I mentioned. Past that, the GT40's outflow the P's, partially due to the larger valves.

Well i plan on taking the valves out and just smoothing them out a little. Not gonna pay to have them ported because the head is only gonna flow so much. The heads are stud mounted for the roller rockers also. I'm really afraid of putting too much power to the stock t-5, cuz i don't trust them. So just a better flowing head that the e7's will be good, with the cam, and intake. That should help me move some air. I believe the motor is starving for air right now with stock intake and everything. Thanks for the info. I looked and i think the plugs will clear the headers
