A 305 iroc runs 17s. A 350 iroc will run 14's all day long w/ street tires stock. They really don't get enough respect, I guess they won't on a ford forum though.

I have seen 305 TPI cars with bolt ons in the 14s before.

dont know what i equates to but i had a 85 with tpi 305 with a built 700r4 that would run 9.2 in the 8th on street tires, no motor mods (well a stage 2 chip) and it was fully loaded. Then it got stolen....oh well.

well it all depends i saw a 305 tpi trans am run a 14.6 with a cam and intake and drag radials, and it was a 5 speed, so i dont kno. but i would def say if ur gettin a camaro buy a ls1 or dont get one. if ur doin a stang than you could seriously do anythin u want to it

eh, they aint bad but lets put it this way, theres an lt1 around me with a big cam heads and intake and 373 gears 6 speed and hes runnin 12.6, thats ok considering we could get there with teh same mods on our cars, for a better price, so the ls1 is the only way to go if ur going chevy, otherwise stick to ford.
