is that parts and labor or jus parts? how long would it take to complete the process?
That is just parts and machine work. It can take as long as you want it to....Maybe a couple of weeks?

Maybe a couple or horses...people don't do it for power, they do it to freshen up the block or rebuild...it is just a standard thing if you block is worn normal.

If you try and keep the 302, it will probably cost you at least a $1000 more for a new block.

Boring the cylinders last I checked was about $20 per cylinder. It would cost about $300 to make you block fresh(bored, decked, dipped, ect) around $450 for a basic rebuild kit (pistons, rings, seals, bearings, oil pump, timing set, ect) and another $100 to $150 to get your heads redone(valves, seals, shim springs, ect) I would guess somewhere around $250 to $500 to assemble(no idea, just a guess)

I'm not saying all that is fact, just a round about of the whole thing and I probable miss some stuff too. Also, it isn't a gaurantee that you will ever have to touch your motor either...140,000 is still low as far a 5.0's go. Good luck.
