So the a guy that owns a machine shop , that builds motor told me to drive my new motor like im gonna drive to get the rings and seals to seat properly. So i have about 30 miles on my gt-40 crate motor and i droped it in to second and took it to about 5500 rpm and i blew my freakin head gasket and my brand new motor.. Talk about a downer.
If it was a newcrate engineand he blew both the head gasket AND the engine itself, then I am going to guess he was running REAL lean and ran into some bad *** detonation. Damn that sucks.
i only drove it liek 3 miles after it happend so the motor should be good .... that was a typo about it bein blown... atleast i hope.. Has any one heard of blownin a head gasket form dropiing gears(drivin the car hard)
well the worst part about it is i was supose to drive the car to a paint shop tomorw so it could get painted and now i have to tear it all aprt. it should make a fun weekend
