ok well my stang is burning oil bad but the olny time i see smoke is when i floor it also my oil turn black fast after a few days of doing the oil chang it turns black so i know iam getting some gas in there how can i fix this ??? or do i need to rebuild the engine

 

Well really that doesnt mean your gettin gas in there. If you are gettin gas in the oil, itll smell like raw gas, and really, really bad, plus it will start to overfill the oil too ex. my bros pressure regulator wne t out, his oil was overfilled like 1.5 qts. It sounds like kinda the same problem i have, i burn about 1 qt a week, and now that im driving 100 miles a day, i burnt 3/4 a quart today. it coulfd also be a PCV probem, which that is what im trying the figure out right now

sorry im taking a while... what thickness are you running? im runinig 5w-30, bad mistake , dont run that i think im goin with 10-40 next which will be soon, and how many miles are you running in a week also?

 

How many miles on the engine? If you pull the oil cap on the engine while it's running do you get a lot of smoke/blow by out of the filler neck?

 

i haven't done this but i will as soon as i can the motor as 95K iam using 10w-30 oil iam thinking of using 10w-40 on my next chang right now i dont drive the car cuz its winter in the spring i drive it like 90miles a week and i want to fixs this befor spring comes so any advice is welcome

did you clean or replace the PCV screen? going to 10w 40 isn't going to help....as for your oil turning black fast, try replacing the oil filter @ about 500 miles into the new oil it will clean up.. it may take a few for the engine to :clean up:

 

i changed the pcv its self where is the screen and u think if i changed my oil more often it well clean up ?
