cool thanks for all the info. what and were can i get the OD delete. this does mean i will only have 3 gears right? and what kind of shift kit would you recommend?

I have one, love it also, but ive heard the bad thing about them it you cant use wrist action with them, it all arm really. I went to remove mine today for fluid change and the last owner cross threaded it when it was put on, so it snapped off.............

As to why you would want to eliminate OD in the AODE, try this... Hit WOT and get your speed up nice and fast. Now shift it into OD while still at WOT and let me know what happens Chances are, you will be taking your car to the shop to get a new OD band since the old one would have blew out.
Also, in a lot of city driving, the tranny likes to shift into OD at real low RPMs and speeds. You can be doing 40 and have it shift in and out of OD. To save wear and tear on the band and to makethe engine strain less, it's often easier to shut it off unless you really need it like at higher speeds or on the highway.
Just because you delete OD, it doesn't mean it's gone for good. All you do is press a button and it goes back to normal.
