its been a while since ive posted on these forums. i used to have a 94 mustang v6 vert. well i sold that way back in augest and got a 04 grand cherokee. well in about a month once all the snows gone i want to purchase a 5L. im looking for a black or white hatchback gt 5speed. i just have some questions about these cars. first off size. how much smaller and how much leg room/head room does the 89 5.0 offer compaered to the 94 mustang. im 6'2 and have long legs. wouldve liked it better if the old stang that i had offered more leg room. also if there is a difference can the seats railsbe modified to add a bit more room. second when buying a 5.0 5 speed what should i be looking out for. third hows the ride quality in stock form. if i corner sharp will the stang stick to the road or will i spin. fourth when i do get a mustang i wanted to get a set of the 4 bolt cobra rrims there 17". whats the biggest tire size that i can put on thoose. i got a pair or 17" 275 tires that i wanted to put on. i really need some help from you guys. im dying to get a 5L and i need to have one soon. so any answers to these questions will be appreciated

well on a fox there is another hole in the seat racks so it can be set back about 1.5" but leaves even less leg room for the rear seat, but really who sits back there..
as for putting 17's on a fox then the 73mm caliper are a MUST as these cars the brakes suck!

when upgrading brakes do ppl usually just get bigger brakes for the front end or to ppl also toss those drum brakes and get disk. if i threw on 17" rims whats the best thing to do

get the calipers and a master cyl...this will help a ton..also changing rotors to slotted will help as well brakes with better material

oo 1more thing im not really sure about this one. i wanted to get one of thoose hoods with the cowels. if i get that does that hood still open straight up or do i have to completly remove the hood to get to the engine. srry if this sounds noobish.

1 if im not mistaken the 87-93's had more leg room than the 94s and 95s, im about 96% sure about this, because one of my buddies has a 92 and a 95, and i sat in both, had alot of leg room in the 92, and i could barely get my legs in the 95 (im 64 250)
2 Just look for any rust (usually around thre hatch) and check out all (if any) mods he has)
3 you will probably spin, but you can get a couple things to stiffen it and make it handle alot better, my brothers 89 GT can take corners at 30 and you wont hear a peep out of the tires
4 Umm, i think my brothers 4 bolts are 17x9, although the front ones rub against the inner fender, and i dont know **** about tires
5 it doest really matter, its all about whether or not you want discs in the back
6 you can buy up to 3 inch cowl induction hoods(i think) and have them use the regular hardware, and up to 6(again i think) in liftoff

i am 6'3 and i sat comfortably in my old 95. but i sat in my friends 88notch and 91gt i thought the leg room was the same but thats just my .02
