Default Oil pump or not

ok, Sitting at a light and start to hear the engine s tapping. Looked at oil pressure gauge and it was on zero. Then it shot back up to normal. and the tapping went away. But it startedtapping again and oil pess isdown ,oil press back up tapping gone. Over and over again. I thinking the oil pump is bad. But do any of u think differnt?

either the pump or the shaft. good idea to do both anyway.

Prolly not the shaft...it wouldn't go up again if that was broke. Check your oil, then if that is good I would say pump or worn bearings...

buy a mechanical gauge to see for sure...then you can really see...and if it is,it's not the thing you want to ignore..
