exhaust cutouts?

RE: exhaust cutouts?
i dont have any data to back it up, but as far as power or numbers it depends on where you put them. right after the headers by the collector, just before the crossover, just before the axle....? just remember that the closer you have them to the motor (shorter exhaust/less restriction) it'll eat up torque. i am curious though what would happen if u had the elec. cutouts and opened them when on a roll once you got into the upper rpm. you guys think that might produce some better times?

Right out of the headers, you can warp a valve without any backpressure. If you put it before the axle, it would basically be like having electic turndowns because that far back, it would have to be behind the muffler. I wouldn't wanna be the lab rat to test this one out, but who knows

I would use them if I had a quiet exhaust system. This is a way to have the best of both worlds.

we put one on my sons 05 hemi, the dodge site has the data to back up the increase (dyno), i put it on right before the muffler which on this truck is right after the y pipe. also put an electic opening on it.
