I don't have a new shifter, and was thinking I could take what's off my car now and put it on the new trans. I just have a short throw handle, not like a whole Pro 5.0 shifter kit, or anything like that. I have the aluminum short handle and an aftermarket shift ***. The explanation on Mustangs Unlimited said the trans came with a hurst shifter.

Is this not possible and am I out in left field?

your right, i was just confused, ya if your handle was like mine the mounting wholes were to small and needed to be drilled out, no biggie

Cool and so I can use my shortshifter handle and *** on the new trans, right? I just might need to drill out the holes a bit on the handle to make it fit. I know I didn't have to do this on the T-5 to get the handle on, but it sounds like the Tremec might be different.

Love to hear it and I'm beyond psyched to get my new motor/trans, etc. in and have some fun with it in the spring.
