With 2.2 60fts my 86gt aodstock was running 15.2 no problem in 40* weather in novemberand that had a lot less power then a stock 87+ 5.0 motor. Somethings not right, your torque converter could be burnt up and absorbing a lot power.

it's cool though man. get some gears and practice launching and get some nice stickey tires, find a nice open parkinglot or something and practice. when i had my car before it was brought to paint i used to practice launching at any stop sign or stop light i came to.

Tough call on the times there, man. If you didn't spin out, you have some issues with your car. SPOUT is the first thing that comes to mind. No spark advance may only knock 2 seconds off but odds are it would be a bitmore. I once sprayed with the SPOUT out and it was still slower than 14* and no spray[8D]
Plugged aftermarket high flows?
Worn fuel pump?
Clogged fuel filter?
Slipping trans?
Lots of possibilities dude.
And I hope to god the Honda kids don't find this thread. I can hear it now.......

well i was just talking to my brother
and he said i was hardly spinning at all
but ive noticed when i take off
my car is slow in first gear
when it hits 2nd it's a hell of a lot faster
anyone know why it's so slow in 1st?

where is it?
ive never heard of it
yeah i did a tune up like 3-4 months ago
fuel filter is 6 months old
dont know about the fuel pump
and the trans isnt slipping

but anyway.. i would maybe think about changing youre fluid and filter in youre trans. bump youre timming if you already havent done it... get those gears put in and buy some sticky tires and it should feel like a whole brand new car.
