ok well to start with im sure you wanna know about the firebird. its a 6 speed 383 stroker. i almost bought it off my friend. i beileve it runs 3.73 gears and it has corvette magnesium wheels 19x11.5 in the rear and 18x9 in the front. upgrade suspension to ws-6. so you have some basic info, its a beastly car. so we're trying to top out of friends 5.0 and we top his out and we wanna see how fast the firebird went, he had a 220 speedo or 240 i cant remember. but we hit 165 and it was gettin really shakey and then we hit 173 and it was smooth as glass and when we hit about 185 it was goin any higher and we started to slow down at 187 so we quit and my friend took it out of gear and applied the breaks and nothing happened so he put it back in gear and we were trying to slow down and we got to about 150 i think maybe 140 and the rear end locked up and the differential exploded all over the highway and we started fishtailing like mad and we never flipped and never went in the ditch. he started spin at about 50 or 60 mph we estimated and then then the tires exploded and we stopped in the middle of the highway....pretty nuts huh? you dont have to believe me but i still have dreams about it! it was sooooooo awesome! we laugh about it now....but we were scared sh**less. trust me not in a position you wanna be in. i was lucky i was in the front seat cause i could actually see somewhat of what was going on

I did 130 when i had the stock gears and I could tell she had a bit more. But it didnt really impress me considering I once owned a 93 subaru legacy 5 speed that could top out at 140 and cruise at 130 all day.
