Default bad for brakes?

hey whats up everyone, i have a quick question: if you do say, a 7 second or so brake stand is there the potential that the rear brakes could be damaged beyond accelerated wear and tear? the only reason i ask this is because i did a brake stand the other day for about that long and the next day when i was driving to work, whenever i got hard on the brakes, for example at the end of a full stop, the brake warning light would come on until i lifted my foot off the pedal again. it doesnt do this anymore but i just want to be careful and not cause any unecesary damage because of my possible ignorance [&:] thanks in advance for any and all responses

and oh yeah i have a '95 gt if that is any help at all [sm=smiley12.gif]

honestly, if you do it enough, yeah, but not once in a while. i know a guy who does it for AT LEAST 15sec EVERY time he races. its ridiculous. he overdoes anything......i think hes tryin to make for his lack of driving skill.....oh well. but, i dont think once in a while will hurt anything. if it starts staying on or just coming on when driving.....THEN worry and check it out. other than that, just pay attention to how it stops.
