so i ordered flowmasters 40s a while back and i got them and they were Center inlet and Offset out. i sent them back because i wanted Offset Offset. well i ended up getting them back yesterday to find out there are Offset inlet and Center out.
i can tell my current mufflers are offset/offset, my question is will the Center outlet make my dumps like 4-6 inches closer to eachother? does this problem matter? its a stupid problem but one nonetheless...

 

I don't think it will matter as long as it doesn't effect how you hang the muffler....I think the hangers are near the center in the exit side of the mufflers.

 

 

Wait...are you putting dumps on or tail pipes(you said dumps)...that picture you had on looked tail pipes. If that is what you are doing, you may have issues

 

i have dumps (GT rear bumper)... i want to find a cobra rear so i can run strait chrom pipes... but for now dumps.

 

So you can't see your dumps can you...aren't they in front of the axle?

I guess this is why you edited out you nifty picture huh


EDIT: I see, I consider dumps right behind the muffler, you have stock gt tailpipes with dumps on the end...am I right?

 

i edited out the pic because it didnt look right when i posted it....

but yeah its heads hpipe mid pipe that goes over axle mufflers then dumps right at the tip of the bumper...

im putting on bbk shortie heads, bbk o/r x, flowmasters...

 

you will prob run into problems... get the offset/offset... or man up and dump it before the axle

i might do that, i always like that... the mufflers dont have those flanges on it so id need a short little pipe with a flange on it to bolt the muffler up to coming off of my bbk o/r xpipe.... sounds like fun actually.... thanks for the responses guys!
