i was thinking about this last night and wasnt sure... if i hookedup the exhaust before the rear axle, should i put dumps on the muffler or is it ok if its straight open... heat issues?? also think id have enough room to put highflow cats right before muffler?

you should put dumps on, but right now i just have them open, been like that for a month or so, no problems.... and i guess you could put cats on the intermediate pipes, but being that far from the headers i dunno how good theyll work.
