hahaaha i'm sure the exhaust helped. It sounds mean!
ORIGINAL: 86 5.0L

Ok guys just got the vortech s-trim and exhaust installed! Started up the first time and had kept bucking and shutting off. So I put gas in it still did it. It was the battery, i charged it with my other car for a few minutes and a-ok. Then I went for a drive and OMG! I could not get anything out of first or second gear just spins ( it's also really cold here). So I waited until 3rd and punched it (Instant Grin). And around 5000-5500 it really pulls like crazy! I'm all cut up and bloody but very happy I have 3.73 gears in my closet that I'm scared to put in. Maybe I will stay with the 3.08's. Will find out in the summer if I can get traction or not.

And I will add one question about the exhaust. Is the exhaust smell normal and does it just have to be burned off?
why Vortech FTW? could've been your exhaust

Thanks EXACTALLY what I thought as soon as I seen the pics lol sucks for you guys [8D]Anyway, congrats on the blower! Im guessing stock heads? The only nice thing about doing the blower first is that now every little thing that you do to the car you will feel a major difference. Good luck w/ everything and +1 on getting that tune ASAP! I would still be easy on it w/ those stock injectors... even w/ that cheap FMU.

Man you have no idea how bad it is to work on stuff in there, lol. I just completely reorgainzed my engine bay...well as much as possible anyway. Rerouted the nitrous lines, cleaned up some parts, swapped valve covers, etc. Overall pain in the ***. Cant even get to the tensioner pulley without an s-load of effort.

Congrats! Enjoy it but take care of it.
How much boost is your kit set up for (~7-8 psi I'm guessing)

As to the smell, don't forget the unique yet all too addictive smell of a hot forced induction setup...

Mine has been gone for several years now yet my leg still gets jumping whenever one passes by...

Yeah it's 6-8... So it builds to 8. That's enough for me right now. It's kinds scary to drive cause the roads are so cold... I think i'm done modding for the winter, I'm tired that was a lot of work! LOL
