a fuel filter? thats wierd

and i tried to test it and no codes came up i just put in a new cap n rotor and plugs seemed to make it better but not completely fix it.

i did mess with the timing but i just tuned it to performance(brake tourque it and spin the distributor)

seriously, replace your fuel filter. weird as it may sound, for some reason a clogged fuel filter will caus that esitation when u punch the throttle, and make it run rich at the same time, beats me, but i think the fuel pump tries to compensate and screws it all up. the fuel filter should be under the car in front of the fuel tank i believe.

ok thanks and what do you meen by putting a turbonator in it at the same? thats how you mess with the timing and it works great

+1 on the fuel filter. The exact same symptoms you're describing happened to me when I first bought my '87. You may as well install a 255 Lph fuel pump while you're at it. My car had actually sat without running for about 15 years so the whole gas tank had rusted out, which I replaced as well. The rust from the gas tank was clogging the fuel filter.

i'd spend a little extra and get the cross drilled and slotted fuel filter with the roller bearing quick connects on the end.

actually...my ole 87 i used to have did the same thing anf a filter fixed it!
