Default Somone must make a cover for this...

I just got a UPR Boostmaster pipe, which will move my air filter and MAF sensor into the fender-well. The problem is the oval hole where the stock intake was is pumping hot air into the fender-well. Doesn't somebody makea cover for this hole? I have searched all the major suppliers with no luck. There are a bunch of CAI kits that have have almost the right piece, except it has a pipe in the middle of it! Might have to make one, I just can't believe nobody makes one. Anyone know of a place that does!

you may have to fabricate a cover up by you self, use some stainless or something like that.

Are you talking about the hole that the stock intake goes into or the hole next to it? If its the hole next to it, there is a cover that comes from the factory for it. If you are talking about the bigger hole that the stock intake goes to. Get a piece of sheetmetal and cover it from the outside of the motor bay (inside the fenderwell. There are a number of ways to keep it on there (screw it on, weld it on, etc.)

I made a simple cover for mine from
1/8" thick Lexan (heat proof plexiglass) that I got from HomeDepot.
then put some foam pad strips along the edge ( also from HD ) and
screwd it in place.

I also painted the Lexan black.

Cost about $10 to make. and took about 30 mins.

+1 You could do it that way or you can put it on from the back for a little cleaner look.

Thanks for the suggestions. The larger oval hole (that is shown covered in the picturer.barn was kind enough to post) is the one I was referring to. I was looking for a "cleaner" look. Mounting inside the fenderwell might look OK. A nice piece of stainless with bent tabs at the top that fit into those indentations would be sweet! Unfortunately I don't have the tools (or work space)I would need to do the metal fabrication.

I might make a template and have it made somewhere.
