If you're looking to make 600 HP, you're going to need to do a ton on top of a straight 331. SC or turbo, heads, cam, intake, juice, etc.

You'll need an aftermarket block as well.

I'll be making about 450 with h/c/i, SC, exhaust, 42 lb.inj., 90 MM MAF, 70 MM TB, and all the other supporting mods.

What do you already have done and what were you expecting to spend?

budget???

If he's looking to make 600hp, I would think he really doesn't have a budget.

My vote is for the turbo.

You got that right. My 347 longblock was $5400.

Look into this place for heads/cam
http://www.camshaftinnovations.com/

If you're wanting to shell out the cash for a complete turbo kit I would look into Hellion. If this were my build though then I would head over to turbomustangs.com and read about piecing together my own turbo kit.

I bought my heads and cam from Camshaft Innovations, but I'd recommend doing it yourself. Get some AFR heads and call comp cams directly, explain to them what you want and they can grind one for you. Think about it, Camshaft Innovations does may be a few hundred custom cams a year, while comp cams does thousands.

I'm pretty sure my cam is a comp, just made to Jay Allen's spec. You can cut out the middle man.

ya that was my idea, to try and put together my own turbo kit, just because i think it would be really rewarding if it worked well to know that i did it. Thanks for all the help, is there any other websites that you would recomend looking at for putting together a turbo system??
