Default 5 lug conversion advantages?

Besides having a wider selection of wheel is there any real advantage to converting to 5 lugs?

yea now someone tell him how much hp were talkin... cuz im not seein breaking wheel studs w. the amount of power the majority of mustangs put out.....

personally, im stayin 4 lug... might go to 31 spline axles if i need to one day, but not gonna bother w. 5 lug...

I really dont see how 4 lugs are stronger than 5. If youre snapping lugs for some reason having one more really wont make a difference.
Im just doing my swap for better brakes and not to have more studs or different wheels.

Better wheel selections, basically if you are breaking wheel studs you damn sure should not be driving on the street. They make disk brakes for 4 lugs also, so that is really not all that big of a deal. I don't know if I have ever actually seen a Mustang break a wheel stud.

+1 There are alot of companies who make brake kits for 4 lug (baer, etc). Idont plan on swapping rims every summer or anything and they make the rims I want in 4 lug so I think thats what Im sticking with. Plus, if you convert to 5lug with a kit or something its like 2G's (of coarse for a nice cobra kit or something) but than you need to buy new wheels right then too because the stockers will no longer work. Than if you are replacing your rim from a stock rim you will need new tires. You easily spend 3K+ on a rim/tires/5 lug conversion... F*CK THAT!

Your going to spend over 2k on a good bear brake set up for 4-lug too! So if your going to go with a good brake set up you may as well go with the 5-lug, if you want more wheel options! JMO
