Default what heads should i go with

i have a 91 lx 5.0 and decided that i need new heads and intake............... i currently have the list of mods below. i dont really know what heads to choose i hear the afr heads are real good was looking at 165cc or 185cc with my set up what heads and intake manifold do you suggest? i wanna get rid of my cobra manifold and gt-40 cast-iron heads cuz i think there is more power to be gained through a better set of aftermarket heads. any suggestions would be helpful.

The AFR 165s will work well if you have stock pistons, the 185s require flycutting to clear the 2" intake valves, they run around $1300.

what kind of gains do you think i will see over the gt-40 heads? any intake suggestions?

the afr's will prob see over 30 wheel more than the gt40's assumin that the gt40's arent ported. the 165's are the best head for the 302 and you will see tons of hp from it. the 185's like stated will require piston notching, and they are too much head for a 302.

I wouldn't be suprised if you got 40 more rear wheel horsepower with the afrs over the gt40s.
