So I went to the junkyard today to hopefully find a set of GT40s...and I definately did. Two explorers (1P and one regular), and a mountaineer (GT40 regulars). The motors were completely...it suffices to say that the cylinder heads have got to be the hardest EVER to get to, everything is so crammed in and the header bolts are such a PITA to get to.. But...I did walk out with this for $63 off the mountaineer. I'm going back next friday to get the heads off (if they're still there, if not, there are two other sets there with the manifolds gone).



I think I got a great deal..and when I get the heads they will only cost me $84.

I'm just hoping that not all the sets of GT40s are gone next week when I go again, which I doubt they will be. I got that manifold off the Mercury, so I'm going to try to get the heads to match (the truck had 115k on it).

Can't wait to go back and get the heads!! But man do the explorers and mounatineers have every crammed together as close as they can.
