Tire size

Hi guys got a question I have 1993 Mustang 5.0 LX Notch. I was wondering if a 225 55 16 tire will fit on my rims. the car has 225 50 16 on it now.

225/55/16 is the proper size... you can also fit 245/50/16's in the back

Thanks I thought so but a tire shop told me the 50 series was right Also what types of advantages would this other tire have over the stock size. And has anyone used dunlop tires. I am thinking of ordering these from tire rack anyone order from them
