RE: Has anyone solved a pinging problem
it goes in your gas tank and into a vacuum line and they say the crank case but i never put it down there anyway its the same thing as going to the shop and getting a tune up its one of the things they do to clean carbon build up this is just cheaper and you can do it yourself

What do you mean by hard throttle 3/4 or full? You could have gotten some bad gas. Try switching gas stations first. Cleaning your engine isnt a bad idea regardless though.

I'm just running some low-end Pepboys plugs, gapped at .054.. Zach, my balancer is new, so I don't think that's the cause. Chitown, it seems to happen at both 3/4 and full throttle...and it's been happening for a while now.

yeah i never thought about the plugs that would be a good idea to change them out for some better ones im running regular ngk's and i love them runs better than when i have autolites in and i had bousch before that and they were so bad they started to misfire in about 50 miles/3 hours of driving around town
