Default PMS question

When you use a PMS, do you keep the factory Ford computer in the car?

Are the tuning cababilities better than the PMS? I've heard many good things about the PMS, so I am trying to decide still.

Megasquirt is a fully tuneable stand alone engine management system. It is more flexible than a PMS system because even the PMS is held back by the limitations of the factory electronics unit.

Megasquirt can be fully intagrated into your vehicle with NO cutting of the wiring harness with the adapter that is available from www.megaefi.com

If you should choose to NOT run the megasquirt, or for any reason decide to take it out, you can simply plug your stock computer back into the harness and be done with it

the pms is probably one of, if not the easiest to use. and if you get the interacq software you can use a laptop with it and there is a bunch more you can tune. has a two stage rev limiter built in. the pms can activate a n2o kit at a programmed rpm and throttle percentage. it can activate the nitrous tables when you spray so that it only uses the n2o tune when your spraying so you have max hp on the bottle and off. it reads boost via a map sensor. bunch of fun stuff

Wow, both sound good.. Price though.. im pretty sure the megasquirt is cheaper, but you just need to assemble it yourself. My only problem with the megasquirt is not knowing exactly what I need for my particular setup.
