RE: GOT TURBO?
So if i changed the housing, would it be worth throwing on my car? I understand how much is invovled... but the idea is becoming quite appealing. My budget will be around $2500.

RE: GOT TURBO?
Okay I am back........I have 2 GT28RS turbo's. My friend has a PT-76. Which is a 76mm turbo.
See how much bigger the impeller size and discharge tube is? His dishcharge tube is twice as big, just as the surface area is. On turbos it isn't about the boost pressure, it is about volume. A bigger turbo will put out more hp with more volume with less boost pressure. Volume=HP
Looking at the size of yours, it looks similiar it the impeller size and discharge housing size. If it is, then that turbo will not be able to supply air in a larger cubic inch motor. The GT28RS is rated at 1.7-2.7L motors. Since a stock 302 is roughly 5 liters I would need two to be able to flow the volume in the upper rpms.
If you could please post the inner diameter of the discharge tube, and the ID of the impeller housing. That will give me a better idea of what you are looking at compared to mine. Two of mine will generate enough volume to equal his...........
