ford stroker ur right the afr's will still walk away from ported gt40's and but the question that was asked was, was it worth it? and u said no and well maybe the afr heads are still better they cost 1300 where as the gt40s ported and sent back to u are jsut about 800 dollars. so to answer the question yea its worth it. i have some experience but not with the 5.0, i worked at a engine building shop so im not cluless.

and i am going to do it with 3.27 gears and with a low overdrive gear and still get 15mpg hopefully all on pumpgas. i expect the car to weight at least around 2700lbs if not a lot less and make around 550rwhp n/a and then the 200-250 shot

oh yea if it doesn't run 10's i am running it into a wall

2700lbs with 500 at the tire, it better go mid 9's and you will need a cert cage and license

a local shop here quoted me on a pair of gt40's port polish valve job and springs for about 500 maybe less depending on quality of heads

any shop that is porting an iron head, doing a valve job and supplying spring for 500 I would run from, fast. I bet they spend one hour max, blending the bowl and laying down the short side, if that, especially for 500 bucks

the porting valve job springs and bigger valves cost me enough in the end where i could have bought aluminum heads if that guess any idea what a quality job cost. just something u should think about
