Custom Cam or Off The Shelf

Custom Cam or Off The Shelf
Is it worth the $ to get a custom cam for my N/A 306 with AFR 165's & all supporting mods? Should I just get a off the shelf cam from Comp Cams? It is my street driven & daily driver Stang. LMK what you think!

Most people say get a custom cam. Only reason I didn't get one was because I was very happy with what I saw in the Steeda #19 camshaft. It was pratically built for supercharged SN95s, lol.

+1 I would go with a custom grind.... but the only thing I would suggest is to make sure you are happy w/ your combination and that you wont be changing things much. Custom cams are good for ONE design and thats YOUR MOTOR. If you start changing things after the grind its going to be worthless. I think you can get a custom grind from Jay for like $300 bucks. Check it out at the link posted above.

I would consider a custom grind if that is the final setup you are going to run in your car, but if you plan on changing things up down the road I'd buy a good off the shelf cam.
