Default 460 swap

What will I have to do to change my car over to have a 460 in it will the trany mount right up

even if the transmission did line up, it would turn to scrap metal very quickly

but do you mean what would you have to do to the drivetrain, or the chassis/suspension too

new motor mounts, c4 or c6 transmission, new drive shaft, beef up the rear end (should do this on any modded stang), all new exhaust, stiffer springs in the front (coil overs would be nice), youll need a 460 motor. all the efi $hit can go cause the 460 will have to be carb. if you go with a c6 tranny youll need a big hammer to widen the tunnel. sticky tires and good suspension to put the power down. a roll cage + subframe connectors to keep the car bending under the weight and twisting from all the torque. youll also need a fuel pump for a carb'd motor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines. im sure there is more but thats all i can think of right now

deep pockets, big brakes, big radiator, tall hood, battle boxes, new drivshaft, and of course another car, because theres no way in hell your gonna drive it every day

a 460 needs a 335 series bb bell housin the clevland has a bb bell and will hook up...sb for wont..and jegs,summit racing offer a 460 swap kit mounts,headers,oil pan.ect all...
