Ok, so this might be a dumb question but, whats a rough estimate on how much it will cost me to register my car in illinois, you know tax, title, plates?. If it helps the previous owner didnt put the cost of the vehicle so I can pretty much put whatever I want. Let me know If you can, Thanx

you get taxed according tothe tax brackets set forth, they did away with that I paid 20 dollars scam long time ago. They take fair market value regardless of purchase price. I cant remember what the currency exchange charges anymore, its been a long time since registering a car. But that scam about the purchase price is long gone

I think taxes are like $25 and then itll be like 100-200 ( I cant remember) for title and plates.
