yeah my rear main seal is leaking a bit to lazy to fix it right now but i aint burning oil my uncle races circle track and road racing and i have learned over the years i would rather run a thicker oil and loose a couple of hp than worry about it just a matter of preference

no one listen to this guy using 20w50 is just killing his bearings on every cold start....
5w is really good for our people up north...using a synthetic really is a must for better cold start flow of oil....10w30 otherwise..going with a too thick oil hurts horsepower as well the 0w conventional oil might be needed in really cold weather like Canada's winter's...
as for the guy using oil and adding every few days, you have blow by as your engine has a fair amount of wear and 10w30 would be what I would try

hell i am running 20w 50 cause i live in the south and just for that extra protection it doesnt bother me saying that yeah it is thicker and all but i would rather be safe than sorry
