'85 GT with manual tranny = Carbureted 5.0L HO roller block/cam.
'85 GT with auto tranny = CFI system non-roller block/cam with the HO designation.
FYI...the HO designation by Ford is a marketing scheme when 302's were "reintroduced" back in 1982. They had the "HO" designation even though they were regular flat tappet camshaft engines and had a 2-barrel carburetor. We are the ones that have made the association of HO = roller block with roller cam and 351w firing order.

After reading this thread, they knew what they were talking about. You just weren't listening. YOu were asking if it was a different motor just because it has a different induction setup. All 302's are pretty much the same with the exception of the roller motor which was introduced in 85. Even those those are pretty much the same except they are tapped differently. What adder was trying to tell you was that if it was a true efi where it has injectors into the cylindersthen it had to be a swap because that didn't start until 1986. You asked him to tell you the difference with no pics and when he does you say hes wrong. Like Adder stated that type of efi is nothing but a carb with injectors. Same as chevy's TBI= Toilet Bowl Injection. LOL. So before you bitch people out learn to read and comprehend. Adder can be a dick, what makes it worse is he is mostly right.
