i had just finished doing mine earlier, I already have my dash out because i am having it done in swirl velvet. if it has ac it is a pain. after i got mine back in, i hooked everything up and fired up the car and it runs like crap now. any suggestions? air pockets messing up sensors, debri cloging the sensors up? it ran perfect until the new heater core went in.

I've done them 3 times....twice in my car. I can have that job done in 3 hours. No hacking, and no more missing bolts ( first time was a trip tho) Once you figure out how to get the heater core out, puttin it back together takes 1/3 of the time. Remove the head unit, center console, arm rest, drop the steering column, take off both kick panels, pull the guage cluster out, and unbolt the dash and unbolt the 2heater box boltsunder the hood on the firewall. Slide the dash back as far as it can go, and pull the heater box down/out as far as possible. Take the 2 top cover bolts out, pry up, reach in and snag that baby out and replace the new one. Now its a matter or re-installing it all.

O be quiet...[8D]Those old 4-eye cars are a piece of cake...newer Fox's are WAY different. If you can reach thru the glovebox compartment on my 93 and do it in 15 minutes, kudos to you buddy..

I am dreading this repair. Mine was disconnected when I got the car and I hooked it back up. It is not leaking but I can smell a tinge of the rad fluid when I first hit the heat.

if u can, get the police spec. htr core from ford. it has a reducer on the inlet to releive pressure on the core and yes it takes 7- 8hrs to replace..best plan is to remove 1 or both front seats out.makes it easier on yer back
