Sorry bud...you've got a lot to learn about building engines. As they say, supporting mods will kill you. And lubes. And fluids. And bolts. And.... catch my drift?

If you have any kind of attention to detail and use decent parts, the 347 should pass the 400rwhp mark N/A on pump gas. 350rwhp 347s are from people who just throw stuff together.... like using E cams. Personally, I'd plan on 420rwhp N/A.

gt-40 head is nowhere remotely near what you nee to support 500 at the crank, back to the drawing board again.
gt-40 heads will be ported and polish with a 5 angle valve job and stainless under cut valves to help flow... i think they be fine for that kinda power... mayb a lil restrictive but not to much...

Think again. You're going to be another 340-350rwhp 347 at best.

You can pull WAY more than 350rwhp on a properly built 347!Anyway, like posted above anything past 400hp is pushing it. If you have some extra $$$ you can look into a Mexican block.

BS ............. getting 420rwhp n/a out of a 347 at 6,500 rpm is not going to happen
you're dreaming, 408W only make 425rwhp.

I will have to strongly dissagree w/ that. There are tons of guys running 400rwhp on NA 347's.
