Default wiring to an ignition activated switch

where do you connect a 12volt ignition activated switch?? i need to wire my nitrous kit to a power source that only comes on with the key in the the ignition and can seem to figure it out. any help?

Well if the switch is just to turn on the nitrous kit, it doesnt sound like theres many amps running through it. You can wire to anything that could be potentially on when the car is running, i.e.- your radio might not be on all the time, but there is always a hot running to it when the car is running, so tap into that wire. Or your lights always have power at the switch, so graba Haynes and tap into that one.

I had mine hooked to the heater/ac blower. Plus it had a 30amp fuse so not really a risk of popping it.
