explorer years?

i kno the explorer years for the gt40 heads are 96-97 but what month is the last month in 97 that they had the good ol gt40 heads?

ok kool, cuz i cant ever see the casting number or the markings for the gt40 heads b/c the motors are so beat to **** and rusted.

just look for 4 bars or 3 bars, forget the casting numbers
