ok my brake lights will not come on, my running lights workbut my brake lights dont work? are they different bulbs or what? Where do i start? also the fuse isnt blown so i dont have a clue of what to do.

also its an lx converted to gt, soo any help would be appreciated.

brake light switch, should be mounted under the dash right behind the brake pedel assembly.

annnd could you tell me where that is located?

its a little plunger button type thing mounted up under the dash near the brake pedal.

ok i found it, what am i looking for? is there supposed to be any wires running to it? there is a brown wire just chilling not hooked up to anything with the end of it stripped.

im not sure, but I think there is supposed to be an orange and a brown wire attached to it...


or maybe that was in my probe

well i cant see behind it because its mounted in the firewall of course...but as far as i can tell there isnt a wire comingfrom it besides maybe a black wire running vertical along the firewall.

it shouldn't be mounted in the firewall as far as i know, i've never replaced one in the stang, but all the other ones i've done are bracketed somewhere around the pedal assembly. the one near the firewall might be for the clutch.

it should have two wires, to complete the circuit.
