have you bumped up the base timing?
I noticed a nice increase in throttle response when i bumped base timing up.

Just a thought, run some Seafoam through it... CLEAN the throttle linkage then lube it with some white lithium grease(please clean it first think about it...) and adjust those things and it should be fixed...

awesome i seafoamed it through the vacuum booster hose, it started running good so i decided to play around some with the slicks and got the gas pedal wedged into the floor mat at WOT nearly wrecked then nearly blew the fugger up before i turned it off.! hah seafoam did the trick though.
