well what he meant was that if u dont replace the timing chain that u can do it but it will die soon once the motor is together u will have to take it apart again. if u got the money to do all that then a new timing gear and chain is no prob, get a kit a cam kit it comes wit springs timing chain and gear, seats, etc. from comp cams. the xe294h is a kit i suggest u check out.

 

all i need is the pushrods, timing chain set, lube, and rockers...im reusing my hydraulic rollers and my heads are pre assembled.

 

not the best idea either. unless they are relatively new

 

the rollers as long as there isnt a whole bunch of wear im pretty sure they will work...there is less friction with them vs the other types.

 

bump +1 on which timing set and distributor gear to get and if the stock hyd. rollers will be alright. ill try and get some pictures of them.

 

the camera didnt pick up the rollers very good but they seem alright to me. thats my baby thats about to roar!
